About

The Big Windows Review is the literary magazine of the Writing Center at Washtenaw Community College (WCC), in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We publish original poems and short prose.

Our first seven issues (2011-2016) featured work from only students, faculty, staff, and alumni at WCC, but we are now open to submissions from anyone. See Submission Guidelines for further details.

The Big Windows Review is the direct descendant of Blood Orange, the Writing Center’s former print zine of the beautiful and the strange, which ran for 18 issues from 2005 to 2011.

Tom Zimmerman, who teaches English and directs the Writing Center at WCC, is editor of The Big Windows Review, as he was of Blood Orange. Tom’s website: https://thomaszimmerman.wordpress.com/

Over the years, several students have helped Tom with this publication: most recently, Kathrine Snow: http://prolongingtheprologue.blogspot.com/
